Sandra Tomek is Creative Producer and Director. She is Managing Director of the production company Tomek Productions, which she founded in 2006 and which focuses on multimedia concert productions in film & media music. Sandra has worked with Hans Zimmer since 2017, when she became the Artistic Producer & Director of Hans’ orchestral tour »The World of Hans Zimmer« with Gavin Greenaway, Lisa Gerrard, Rusanda Panfili, Pedro Eustache and Tina Guo, amongst others. In 2019 she was Artistic Producer & Director of the opening concert of the Starmus V festival, »Once Upon a Time on the Moon«, in Zurich, featuring Hans Zimmer, Brian May, Rick Wakeman, Apollo/CSA astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Chris Hadfield as well as noble price winner Kip Thorne. Sandra is also the Producer and Artistic Director of the film music gala concert »Hollywood in Vienna«, which she designed and created in 2007 and is broadcast worldwide on TV. In 2009 she established the »Max Steiner Award«, presented annually by the City of Vienna to the world’s leading film composers. Her guests included James Horner, Alan Silvestri, Randy Newman, James Newton Howard, Danny Elfman and Alexandre Desplat, amongst others. In 2018, Hans Zimmer was the recipient of the 10th Max Steiner Award. The recording of the »World of Hans Zimmer« performance in the Vienna Concert Hall with Hans Zimmer, Lisa Gerrard, the Hans Zimmer band and the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra was subsequently released by Sony Classical with Sandra being executive producer of the CD. Recent productions include the European tour of »Two Steps from Hell – Live« with Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix as well as a new film music series with The Wiener Symphoniker in the prestigious Wiener Musikverein. Furthermore, Sandra founded the first music preparation service in Vienna, the »Vienna Music Angels«, that creates scores for music recordings and concerts and serves as music preparation partner of Synchron Stage Vienna. Sandra is also the organiser of the »FIMU– International Film Music Symposium Vienna«, head of the »Music for Media Austria Society« and initiator of the »Vienna Film Music Award«.
